Christians attacking Christians, “Isn’t that special!” as The Church Lady would say.
I’m asking anyone that has came out of Christianity and began following the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to leave a comment below. Be the light.
Crucified Beyond The Narrow Gate by Stephen Rau
If the early Christians version or brand of love (tolerance) was to agree, condone and encourage those around them in every conceivable practice, desire or sin; I wonder why they were hated, ridiculed and killed? But this is exactly what modern church-goers do. To win the world, they condone mass sins. But the thing they condone, is the very thing they need deliverance from.
If Christ and the early church preached the same message the modern church preaches, they would’ve never been crucified and martyred!
I wonder what tolerance to sin Peter’s protégé Clement was permitting when He was tied to a boat anchor and disposed of in the Black Sea? Or Apostle John’s protégé Polycarp: What act of love and dismissal of sin caused Him to be burned at the stake? The same for Paul: Beheaded. Peter: Crucified upside-down with His wife. Justin Martyr: Decapitated. Ignatius: Killed in the Roman Coliseum.
Since the early church is so often cited by modernist-evangelicals, for teaching the same “love and tolerance” message that has given us our tinker bell churches and idol ridden prosperity preachers: Why on earth were they ALL martyred?!? The Romans should have loved them!
If your version of love is to promote grace so sin can abound & be openly, proudly and arrogantly flaunted about in grand flippancy: you are preaching a false gospel.
True Salvation isn’t just salvation from Hell (that’s only half of it). True Salvation saves you from both Hell AND the sins that were once sending you there.
If your version of Godly love is to preach Christ, so the darkness of sin may be exposed in the light of Christ; the recipient of such a Gospel will repent under such exposure and experience Christ unto Salvation. And it is then, they will truly see God’s love and tolerance to have saved such a wretch like them, while they were still in their sins. To see, comprehend and understand the true love of God; you must first have a revelation from the Spirit of God, just what it is you have been forgiven of. If you know nothing of sin…you know nothing of forgiveness. And if you’ve seen your own sin, you will preach a gospel of love that reveals the sin of others, that leads them unto salvation.
Once you see the length, depth, width and breadth of what you’ve been forgiven of…you will then bless God for the sin you’ve been saved from.
Preaching love isn’t “trying to please everyone”. You can never please everyone. And in trying, you trash the truth of God, make it a mockery and destroy it for a lie, all in the name of a false gospel that refuses to be set free of its sin. The Truth of God’s Word has been flushed and disposed of in most churches who bear His name. These modernists apostates destroy the true Gospel for a fake one they’ve concocted in their laboratory of sin. They call this gospel the “Love Gospel”.
It’s love alright: Love of Sin. And it didn’t exist in the first and second century Church of The Living Christ.
The so-called “Love-Gospel” is actually the “Hate-Gospel”. It is the bastardization of Christianity that abandons its adherents to the very elements of what was and is destroying them.
If your Christianity is based upon a little prayer once uttered (to save you from hell) but completely lacks the freedom to live apart from the things that were sending you to hell…your Christianity is a “Hate-Gospel” that lacks the outward evidence of an inward condition….of an authentic salvation. Where there has NEVER been ANY salvation from sin…what makes you think there can be ANY salvation fro hell? Where there has NEVER…NOT ONCE…been ANY salvation from sin…there can be no salvation from Hell.
Where there is smoke there is fire. The smoke (holiness in daily conduct) is the billowing evidence that points to an inwardly raging fire (authentic salvation). If you are embodied with the literal fire of Christ…smoke will naturally billow forth…giving irrefutable evidence of an inwardly raging condition.
If salvation to you, is just a “get out of hell free card” without any commitment unto the deliverance of the sins that were at one time sending you there…you’re NOT His disciple. Therefore, a great urgency should arise to examine yourself to see if you are even in the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Does your salvation consist of a mere escape from hell…or is it complimented by an escape from sin as well?
The answer and reality to that question will echo on into eternity…
Most church-goers nowadays are content with being told that God has made peace with their sin. That He no longer has ANY problem with it. That the reason He died on the cross was so we could be free to commit sin all we want. Even though it was for this very sin that he was mangled, disfigured, beaten, forsaken of God and nailed to a piece of wood to suffocate under the weight of the world and die..
Would you allow yourself to be mangled, disfigured, beaten, forsaken of God and nailed to a piece of wood to suffocate, JUST so you could commit sin?
Then what makes you think He approves of you saying these things about Him?
People such as this are a reproach to the Gospel and an embarrassment to real Christians.
It’s not good enough to them that they are lawless. They feel the need to make Christ lawless as well by making it appear He died so we could be free to sin. If He’s going to cast away the lawless ones (Matthew 7:23) how much more so those who have tried to make His sacrifice an excuse to be lawless?
They are a reproach to the unsaved because they make Christ’s sacrifice a cheap, un-sacred pile of trash. One day the fans of heaven will be turned on full boar…and all of this crap is gonna hit it with a running jump.
Sorry for the strong words—but somebody’s gotta say it.
Actually, the more I think of it; No, I’m not sorry for the strong words. I’m sorry for the so-called Christians in our day and age that have prompted the strong words.
I’m sorry this generation hasn’t a hope in hell (literally) of obtaining any real, genuine salvation from a real, genuine hell; when a false gospel such as this is taught in the majority of our churches.
I’m sorry for the amount of “church-goers” who enable and empower “ministers” such as this by filling their pews week in and week out; and by sending millions of dollars annually so they can be told what they want to hear (lies).
I’m sorry when you try and help people ensnared in these groups, they lash out like a dog who has inadvertently hung itself from it’s own leash.. what was meant to keep them within the bounds of safety…now has a stranglehold on them. And when you use the Word of God to point this out, they call you legalistic and become overly-defensive to the notion of you saving their life. They become enraged at the thought of themselves enduring sound doctrine and they become equally enraged at the fact you had the audacity (love) to point it out. So, like a seed that has fallen on a rock…they die.
For THAT I’m sorry and have come to be embarrassed to even share the name “Christian” in and among these reproachable lovers of sin. Because I don’t want a mere name or label to associate me with the Copeland, Osteen, Bell or Warren-esque crowd. They’re an embarrassment to a Holy Church and surely an embarrassment to a Holy God.
Stephen Rau said; “The Roman Church is certainly the Whore of Babylon…the Mother of Harlots as described in Revelation 17:1-5. Allow me to explain in great detail:
“We are NOT anti-Catholic….we’re Pro-Truth. If being Pro-Truth makes us appear to be anti-Catholic…so be it. But that is not our intent. Our intent is to allow Truth to lead us where it will…even to the uncomfortable realization that Roman Catholicism is the Mother of Harlots” – Stephen Rau
Who canonized these as official Church dogma?
To begin with, as the Roman Catholic Church was establishing the official doctrines of the Nicean Christian Religion they included the teaching of Hell as a place of eternal, fiery torment
Much of the imagery of the Nicean Christian conception of Hell is identical with the Pagan underworld known as Hades — even the word Hades is used 11 times in the New Testament to identify Hell, so there is no question about the origins of the doctrine.
Where did the teaching of “Hellfire and damnation” come from?
As the Nicene Church was establishing its official doctrines and replacing biblical Judaism with Catholicism (“Universalism”), it is a well known and easily established fact that they incorporated the teachings of many different religious systems. These early “church fathers” were attempting to establish a new and global political and religious authority in order to control every aspect of human life. Whatever their motives, the Vatican created dogma of eternal torture as a powerful stick to wield against its opponents. “extra Ecclesiam nulla salus means: “outside the Church there is no salvation”
To this end the Catholic Bishops incorporated the Roman Pagan teaching of Hades: A subterranean place of eternal fiery torment and damnation. Never mind that the dogma has no biblical basis, the Magisterium of the Church declared it so. The threat of eternal damnation made their subjects docile and the collection plates rang with tithes, offerings and indulgences as deceived people sought to purchase their salvation.
The imagery of the Nicene Hell is largely taken from the underworld abode of the god Hades and his part time lover Persephone.
#1. NOWHERE in the Bible does it claim that the New Testament is God’s word or infallible. Fallible imperfect human beings did!
Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Proverbs Chapter 30:5-6 Every word of God is tried; He is a shield unto them that take refuge in Him.
Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Deutronomy 13.1 All this word which I command you, that shall ye observe to do; thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
2 If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams–and he give thee a sign or a wonder, 3 and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto thee–saying: ‘Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them’; 4 thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God putteth you to proof, to know whether ye do love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
#2. Paul in his letter 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Is NOT talking about a New Testament, it has not been written yet nor compiled by the Catholic Church. The scripture he is talking about is the Tanach.#3. It’s this simple, as James Wood said;
You have to make up your mind to believe Torah (which is not to be changed) or The New Testament that changes it…
Hell, The Facts
- There is no biblical basis for this teaching.
- No Believers from the Abrahamic traditions living in the first century C.E. conceived of such a post-life torture.
- Many Pagans did believe in such horrors and they were viewed as savages because it.
- Not a single person in the Gospel accounts ever challenge Jesus as to the origins of this non-Jewish teaching he allegedly taught.
- The doctrine directly challenges the Torah claims that God is Loving and Just
- Many “Bible believing Christians” believe many unbiblical heresies. The near universality of the belief does not make it biblical.
I have to wonder how many lives would be saved if it were not for this despicable church doctrine that people are never good enough. We are born sinners and can never be righteous in the eyes of a vengeful warrior god. Even a child knows there is something wrong with having an innocent person pay for some else’s crimes, but that is exactly what the Nicene Roman Church (Catholic and Protestant) teaches. The Word of God, the scriptures, say otherwise.
“The Bible is clear, and it is consistent: one person cannot die for the sins of another. In other words, the sins committed by one person cannot be wiped out by the punishment given to another. In Exodus 32:30-35, Moses asks Gd to punish him for the sin committed by the people in regards to the Golden Calf. Gd tells Moses that the person who committed the sin is the one who must receive the punishment. Then, in Deuteronomy 24:16, Gd simply states this as a basic principle, ‘Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.’ This concept is repeated in the Prophets, in Ezekiel 18: ‘The soul that sinneth, it shall die… the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.’ The prophet Jeremiah looks to the day when the mistaken belief that one man’s death atones for another man’s sins shall no longer be held by anyone: in Jeremiah 31:29-30, the prophet says: ‘In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.’ “
